Hi There!
My name is Clarke and I’m an osteopathic manual practitioner practicing in Toronto, Ontario over the past 6 years. I graduated from the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy (CAO) – a demanding 4 year osteopathy program. Over the past six years of practicing osteopathy, I’ve seen a wide range of issues with young and old patients including: neck and back pain, sciatica, tendonitis, arthritis, pinched nerves, digestive issues etc… I am currently a member of the Ontario Osteopathic Association (OOA), which is recognized by almost all extended health insurance companies.
Prior to studying at the CAO, I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from Western University. During my time at Western I studied a variety of health-related topics including exercise physiology, anatomy, sports injuries, nutrition and biomechanics. I pull from both my kinesiology and osteopathy education to help my patients’ needs.
I believe that the body is able to self-heal and self-regulate; however, in order to do so, the body must be in a position to allow proper physiological function of the musculoskeletal and visceral systems, blood flow and lymphatics. By removing the anatomical root cause of the problem, the body is better able to function properly.
When I’m not working, you can find me zipping around on my bike, playing hockey & golf, jamming on my guitar, reading a book or hanging with friends and family.
